ACRS traditional practice of ongoing 3-monthly, independent reviews of each ACRS certified supplier’s raw production test data and matched to ACRS independently conducted annual benchmark testing has recently been enhanced. ACRS review of each product type is being extended over the longer term to map trends in product characteristics and compliance rates. This enhanced reviewing detail is already highlighting some emerging patterns (some positive, some negative) in steel supply as production techniques are increasingly refined to reduce supply costs, and as supply chains continue to evolve to encompass wider sources of local and overseas materials.
