Ensuring that the construction steels used on Australian and New Zealand prpjects conform with relevant Australian and New Zealand requirements - irrespective of country of origin - is of paramount importance.

Notwithstanding potential issues that can result from use of non-conforming construction steels, strict ‘chain of responsibility’ legislation, wider scrutiny and increasing litigation, accepting materials that don't conform with all of the relevant Standards and Codes is an unnecessary risk for engineers, specifiers, suppliers, builders and ultimately, the public.
