ACRS Quality Management Systems Certification

Scheme Rules

How do you achieve ACRS Quality Management System Certification?

A company wishing to achieve ACRS quality management system certification must operate their quality management system in accordance the requirements AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 and the ACRS Management System Certification Scheme Rules. (Note: AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 is the identical national adoption in Australia and New Zealand of ISO 9001:2015.)

Application for ACRS certification

Companies that wish to have their quality management system certified by ACRS, or to transfer their existing ISO 9001 certification to ACRS, are invited to contact ACRS to discuss their specific situation (ACRS welcomes enquiries. ACRS does not charge for enquiries and submitting questions does not obligate the enquirer to make an application).

The certification process commences with receipt of an application, that includes documentary evidence of the fulfilment of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 requirements. This will be reviewed by ACRS as part of a Stage 1 audit.

When ACRS is satisfied the quality management system appears to fulfil AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 requirements on paper, an onsite Stage 2 audit will be carried out. The ACRS audit team may comprise one or more auditors depending upon the size and complexity of the firm's activities.

At the conclusion of a successful evaluation and audit that encompasses both the company’s quality management system and the company’s supply of materials to the appropriate ACRS Product Certification Scheme Requirements, a Certificate of Approval to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 will be issued with the appropriate ACRS product certificates.

For further details, please contact the ACRS.

For any application to be considered, an applicant firm must include the application form with all fields completed, including mandatory declarations, necessary supporting documentation and the required assessment fees (Assessment and associated costs will be invoiced by ACRS upon initial review of the submitted application). This form is effective from 10 February 2016.
